Savino Carbone’s filmography is devoted to identity and displacement in post-migration Italy, intertwining documentary cinema, archival materials and ethnographic research. His multi-awarded documentary Libertà (2019), supported by Amnesty International, explores the lives of two queer asylum seekers in Italy. The film was screened in over thirty countries and distributed by Rai Cinema, Sky Cinema, MyMovies, and Filmin.
He has collaborated with Apulia Film Commission, Ministry of Labour, European Commission, Camera a Sud and other cultural institutions.
