Savino Carbone’s filmography focuses on identity and displacement in post-migration Italy, blending documentary filmmaking, archival materials, and ethnographic research. His award-winning documentary Libertà (2019), supported by Amnesty International, portrays the lives of two queer asylum seekers in Italy. The film has been screened in over thirty countries and distributed by Rai Cinema, Sky Cinema, MyMovies, and Filmin.
He has collaborated with Apulia Film Commission, Ministry of Labour, European Commission, Camera a Sud and other cultural institutions.
